Arcane Points to maximize damage or increase critical multiplier.treat Magus level - 3 as Fighter level for feats (compared to Magus level / 2).The 5 bonus feats don't do too much to take you over the top of a normal Cleric given that both work from the same 3/4 BAB chassis, while losing spells is a massive hit.Ĭompare to the Sword Saint Magus Archetype, which likewise loses spells compared to the base class and gets an extra feat (Weapon Focus) but also gets tons of other martial benefits: Yeah, that was the consensus in Kingmaker as well. What does this mean? You always have access to niche spells like Remove Paralysis, buff spells like Delay Poison (Communal), Resurrection spells like Breath of Life, and short-term spells like Eaglesoul that become far more useful once you can permanently extend them with Greater Enduring Spells. Even if this doesn't work as outlined here, the mythic spells should still be spontaneous (and I believe are such even for prepared casters post-merge). This is more than double what a spontaneous caster would normally be able to learn, and as I understand it this is in addition to their normal selections. Merging with Angel grants a massive 83 spells known, 28 of which are mythic spells. Or 39 non-cantrips once you count everything up. A traditional 9th-level spontaneous caster learns five 1st and 2nd level spells, four 3rd through 5th, and three 6th through 9th level spells in their career, plus an additional choice at each level that are locked into class features (domain, mystery, bloodline). The merge however grants you a massive amount of spells known. The big downside to such casting is that you have to be very selective with spells known, making it hard to justify taking one-off buffs or niche spells. The reason for this is simple: spontaneous casting. Please don't break those either.Ĭrusader and Oracle likely work better than regular Cleric.
